Frequently Asked Questions
Are the meetings live or recorded?
All lectures (including the small group meetings) will be live & online via Zoom’s easy interface. Lectures are also available by recording.
What if I miss a meeting?
All four Lectures will be repeated at two different times. You will also have access to the lectures’ recordings, so they’re easy to catch up on if can’t make it to the live lecture.
Small Groups are not recorded, so we encourage applicants to plan on attending as many of the Small Group meetings as possible. These are scheduled at multiple times (schedule TBD), and you can attend at different times each week, as needed.
Live attendance at a minimum of three (3) Small Group discussions is required for credit, and a maximum of one (1) of those can be made up via a written assignment, if needed. You can also take the course as a not-for-credit auditor, and come solely to the classes (and listen to the recordings) you choose.
Does this course earn credit?
Will this class satisfy my CE requirements for live course credits or live contact hours?
This live online class is approved by the NCBTMB as a "Live Webinar/Distant Learning" class, and earns an approved Certificate of Achievement. For other types of credit, check with your state, agency or association to confirm.
Do I need to purchase the techniques videos separately?
No! Your normal course fee includes access to all required materials, including the Arm, Wrist, & Shoulder: Advanced Myofascial Techniques video set (a $79 value).
Can I get the technique videos on DVD instead of online video?
Yes! Your tuition includes access to online video of all the course's techniques, but if you’d also like these on DVD, course enrollees can get the DVD set for just $5 plus shipping. Contact us for the discount code.
What if I already own the DVDs or online videos?
You’re eligible for special discounts on this course’s tuition! See the pricing table above for your discount code.
Do I also need the book?
Advanced Myofascial Techniques Volume 1 is highly recommended, especially for CAMT (certification) participants; but is not required for the course.
Do I need to have taken the in-person version of this class before?
No! It is intended both for first-time participants, and for repeaters of the in-person version. And if you have taken the in-person course already, be sure to use the code to save on your tuition.
Do I need to be seeing clients? Will I need a way to practice the techniques?
Not necessarily. You will be learning about the purpose and principles behind the techniques; practice is optional, and alternatives will be given. So, the course is appropriate for both practitioners who are and who are not seeing clients at this time.
