Director, Lead Instructor

Til Luchau is a lead instructor and the Director of Advanced Trainings. With a diverse background that includes manual therapy, somatic psychology, transformative education, as well as organizational and leadership development, Til's ability to connect interdisciplinary, big-picture ideas to practical, real-world applications has made his talks, trainings, and events popular worldwide.

As a Certified Advanced Rolfer™, Til was on the faculty of the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute® for 20 years, where he served as Coordinator and Faculty Chair of the Foundations of Rolfing Structural Integration program, and where in the early 1990's he originated Skillful Touch Bodywork (the Rolf Institute's training and practice modality). The author of the Advanced Myofascial Techniques textbook series (which has been translated into 6 languages), his regular Myofascial Techniques and Somatic Edge columns have been featured in Massage & Bodywork magazine since 2009. Additionally, his articles have been published in numerous magazines and peer-reviewed professional journals in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Poland, the UK, and the USA.

Formerly a resident practitioner at the Esalen Institute, Chair of the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute®'s Teacher Training Committee, and Adjunct Faculty member of Naropa University's Somatic Psychology Department, he has trained thousands of practitioners in his popular courses at schools and centers in over twenty countries, spread across six continents. A 2015 inductee into the Massage Therapy Hall of Fame, and in 2018 named Massage Magazine's "first Massage All-Star," Til is the co-host (along with Whitney Lowe) of The Thinking Practitioner Podcast, which ranks amongst the top 10% of all podcasts by listeners.

His private practice is based in the Boulder, Colorado area, and includes manual therapy as well as online consulting and coaching related to personal well-being, and business development; as well as professional supervision with practitioners, leaders, and instructors from around the world. Chris Pohowsky

Lead Instructor

Chris Pohowsky is a Certified Rolfer™, CAMT-certified, and is an Instructor for advanced-trainings.com's Advanced Myofascial Techniques series. Chris is passionate about competitive cycling, running, climbing, kayaking and yoga; his outdoor athletic pursuits go hand in hand with a strong interest in personal well-being and injury prevention. Chris' particular talent lies in fostering a cooperative, enjoyable, and focused learning environment in his seminars, and he takes pride in offering workshop participants a solid foundational experience from which to develop their own work. Chris has a full-time private practice in Blacksburg, Virginia, where he was on the faculty of Blue Ridge School of Massage and Yoga for many years. Contact him here.

Bruce Nelson

Bruce Nelson

Lead Instructor, Forum Moderator

Bruce Nelson is a Certified Advanced Rolfer™, a Berry Method® Practitioner, a Reiki Master, is Level II Certified in Advanced Myofascial Techniques, and is an Instructor for advanced-trainings.com's Advanced Myofascial Techniques series. Bruce is known for a keen focus on overall wellness, and for his clear, compassionate, and community-minded teaching style. As a person, practitioner and teacher, he describes himself as a "holistic adventure-seeking student of the world." He has been a participant, fundraiser, and coach with Leukemia Lymphoma Society since 2003. He lives and practices in the greater Anchorage, Alaska area. Contact him here.

Clare Goddard has achieved a Certification in Advanced Myofascial Techniques (CAMT II). Clare has been practicing bodywork for 15 years and since her decision to fully embrace the Advanced-Trainings philosophy has seen the wonderful benefits that this approach has brought to her clients and to herself. She is passionate about body mechanics and exploring the impact that the use of our own bodies, our breath and our language has upon the outcomes we achieve with clients. Jessica A. Garcia

Jessica A. Garcia

Assistant Instructor, Zoga co-host, Small Group Leader

Jessica A. García is a Level II Certified in Advanced Myofascial Techniques (CAMT II). She has been a practicing Massage Therapist for over 20 years, is an Instructor for Puerto Rico Massage and Bodywork Institute, and is a trained teacher of Progressive Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Jessica takes a wholehearted interest in self-care and body awareness, exploring this through regular exercise and movement practices including yoga, running, hiking, and cross training. This has greatly influenced her teachings to help others be more aware and comfortable with body mechanics, as well as breathing with ease while practicing massage and bodywork. Contact her here.

Robin Palumbo

Robin Palumbo

Assistant Instructor, Forum Moderator, Small Group Leader

Robin Palumbo is Level II Certified in Advanced Myofascial Techniques (CAMT II), a Certified Ayurveda Health Counselor, and a Registered Yoga Teacher. Robin is Licensed in Massage Therapy by the state of New York, and is passionate about customizing her approach to each client’s goals and expectations. She has a love for learning and broadening her own experiences while helping others. Robin enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, gardening, or just being with family, and resides just south Buffalo NY, where she has maintained a full-time private practice in Massage and Bodywork for over 25 years. Rebecca Green

Rebecca Green

Customer Relations Coordinator

Rebecca Green coordinates customer, and sponsor relations at Advanced-Trainings. She is the main point of contact when inquiring about courses, Certification, hosting and sponsoring, and anything else. She also manages A-T's social media, and particularly enjoys helping others and solving technical mysteries.
Rebecca is also a Level I candidate for Certification in Advanced Myofascial Techniques (CAMT I), and has a private bodywork and movement modality practice in the Boulder, Colorado area. Alicia Grayson

Alicia Grayson’s movement trainings have been supporting the international dance community for almost 3 decades. Known for her clear and accessible instructional style, she teaches embodiment through forms such as Contact Improvisation, yoga, Pilates and Authentic Movement. Alicia is also a transformational guide in her practice of life coaching, somatic psychotherapy, Biodynamic Breathwork and Trauma Release.

Art Riggs

Art Riggs

Art Riggs is a Certified Advanced Rolfer™ and massage therapist who has been teaching bodywork since 1988. He has conducted numerous workshops for health spas and medical professionals in addition to assisting in Rolf Institute trainings. A committed, high-level athlete and previous ultra-marathon participant, Art has worked with Olympic athletes, professional football and basketball players, and professional dancers and musicians. Currently, his teaching and the practice of working with the general population to provide body-awareness and ease in everyday living, remain the most gratifying aspect of his work.

Bethany Ward

Bethany Ward

Bethany Ward has been an Instructor for advanced-trainings.com's Advanced Myofascial Techniques series; Level II Certified in Advanced Myofascial Techniques (CAMT II); faculty in the Rolfing® and Rolf Movement® departments at the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute® of Structural Integration; and past-president of the Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation. Her articles on the practical implications of fascial research have been published in the Structural Integration Journal, the International Association of Structural Integration Yearbook, Massage Magazine, and elsewhere. As an instructor, Bethany is adept at making complex ideas understandable, relevant, and accessible to a wide variety of learning styles. Bibiana Badenes

Bibiana Badenes

Bibiana Badenes is an influential somatic educator from Benicassim, Spain, where she oversees an innovative body-mind rehabilitation program for rheumatoid arthritis patients; directs the BodyWisdom series of conferences; and is the head of Kinesis, a somatic therapy clinic. She has completed training in NLP, Mindfulness, Experiential Anatomy and EFC Somatic Coaching. She teaches at the University of Valencia (Spain) in the Master of Physiotherapy in Functional Recovery and Therapeutic Exercise (MORF). She is part of the board of directors of the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA). Trained as both a Physical Therapist and a Certified Advanced Rolfer™, Bibiana is an inspiring teacher with an unparalleled skillset.

Ekta Bhatia

Ekta Bhatia

Dr. Ekta Bhatia is a Physical Therapist in private practice in Mumbai, India, and a special-needs children’s therapy consultant for Indian schools, care institutions, and NGOs. Ekta is also the founder of the Indian School of Structural Medicine (ISSM) which trains teachers, therapists, parents, and caregivers in rural India. ISSM's ‘Global Outreach’ project involved manual therapists from seven countries who trained and empowered parents of 3,800 children in over 28 villages in a span of 10 days. 

As our Southern Asia Service Project Ambassador, Ekta continues to share info about her outreach and aid projects at our retreats and events. 

Günther Bisges

Günther Bisges

Günther Bisges works as a Feldenkrais Practitioner with a private practice in London, UK and assists in Feldenkrais Trainings in Europe and the US. He has published several articles on the Feldenkrais Method in medical journals and a series of ATM's (Awareness through Movement Lessons) on CD for the German retail market. He created and presented a series of ATM's for German TV and an Introduction on the Feldenkrais Method for N-TV in Germany. Günther also works as a guest teacher for the Performing Arts Academies in Munich, Hong-Kong, the Royal Dramaten Stockholm and the Laban Centre, London.

Günther has been a special guest instructor on several Advanced-Trainings retreats, including the 2017 Mindfulness and Manual Therapy retreat, the 2018 'Somatic Pilgrimage' on the Camino de Santiago in Spain, and for our 2023 Thailand Retreat. Ian "IO" Oeser

Ian "IO" Oeser

Ian "IO" Oeser's rich movement background includes two decades of vigorous focus on Hapkido, Stick Self Defense Arts, and Contact Improvisation Dance (CI). IO's movement facilitation emphasizes sustainable practices that can be incorporated into and improve daily life, such as safe and effective rolling, falling, and joint manipulations, as well as cooperative means of engaging in movement with others. IO's skilled, solid, and playful facilitative presence invites joyful expression, mindful awareness, and full engagement in his movement offerings.

Robert Schleip

Robert Schleip

Robert Schleip is a human biologist and psychologist. His area of expertise is fascia research. He graduated from the University of Heidelberg in 1980 with a degree in psychology. 1977-1983 he trained as a Certified-Advanced-Rolfer and 1984-1987 as a Feldenkrais teacher. In 2006 he received his doctorate in human biology from the University of Ulm. His doctoral thesis on active fascial contractility was awarded with the Vladimir Janda Prize for Musculoskeletal Medicine. Schleip was co-initiator of the first International Fascia Congress 2007 at the Harvard Medical School in Boston (1st Fascia Research Congress), which marked the breakthrough for modern fascia research, as well as the subsequent congresses. He was a member of the scientific committee at all events in this series. Schleip has been Director of the Fascia Research Group, Division of Neurophysiology at the University of Ulm since 2008. Schleip has been the organizer the organizer of the event "CONNECT - Connective Tissues in Sports Medicine" in 2013 and 2017 together with the sports physician Prof. Jürgen Steinacker. He is also Executive Research Director of the European Rolfing Association, Vice President of the Ida P. Rolf Research Foundation, and Board Member of the Fascia Research Society. As a lecturer he teaches in physiotherapy, orthopaedics and training science. He is the author and publisher of specialist publications on the subject of "Fascia" and is present in the media on this subject.

Whitney Lowe

Whitney Lowe

Whitney Lowe is a contributing author to several books and his articles appear regularly in professional journals and magazines. In 1994, he founded the Academy of Clinical Massage, to provide massage therapists the necessary advanced education for treating orthopedic soft-tissue disorders. He currently directs one the profession’s most comprehensive online training programs in science-based rehabilitative massage.

Wojtek Cackowski

Wojtek Cackowski

Wojtek Cackowski has been fascinated with movement, sports, and bodywork his entire life. It is his greatest passion to study and develop holistic approaches to the treatment of the human body. He applies this passion, along with his deep understanding of anatomy and manual therapy techniques, to the workshops he teaches around the world. Since completing his degree in sports education and physiotherapy, Wojtek became a board-certified ATSI structural integration practitioner, as well as a Certified Anatomy Trains Teacher for Tom Myers, a ScarWork Certified Teacher for Sharon Wheeler, and the Founder of the Zoga Movement concept. Furthermore, Wojtek is actively involved in multiple educational projects, including Myofascial work with Disabled Children, the Zoga Face Integration, and other projects that connect multiple medical specializations. He also sits on the Board of Polish Manual Medicine Association and is a Member of Exercise in Medicine Poland. Wojtek is a proud father of two, currently residing and practicing in Poland.

Wojtek was a special guest instructor in our 2020 Breathing and Bodywork retreat in Thailand, and will be a featured co-instructor in our 2022 AMT/Zoga Thailand Retreat as well.
