Learner Dashboard & Certificates

Part of the Certification Program in Advanced Myofascial Techniques (CAMT)

NCBTMB & CAMT credit for this requirement is free and is recorded in our system when this documentation is satisfactorily completed.

Purpose:

The purpose of this requirement is for you to increase your hands-on skills relevant to the Advanced Myofascial Techniques work, by getting individualized instruction from your Mentor.

Essential elements:

Mentoring sessions are customized by you and your Mentor, according to your desires and their observations. All Mentoring sessions should include:

  1. The Mentor receiving work from you where majority of the techniques or material employed are within the AMT repertory.
  2. The Mentor giving you specific feedback and instruction about your touch skills; and,
  3. Further practice during the session with integrating the feedback received; and,
  4. An exchange of forms afterwards so you can check your understanding of your Mentor's feedback. (You submit your form, then receive a copy of your Mentor's form for comparison.)

Other related learning elements may be included, at your Mentor's discretion, but the primary purpose of the session is for you to work on your Mentor for feedback.

Instructions:

1. Choose an Approved Faculty Mentor from the list on the Faculty page. (Note that Approved AMT Providers are not all approved for Mentoring Sessions.)

2. Before your appointment, prepare 1-2 specific questions or areas of interest to share with your Instructor. These should be questions your Mentor can address from the table, as your client: touch skills, pacing, etc. If you need help, ask your Mentor in advance of your session.

3. Read over the questions in the documentation below before your session.

4. Complete the documentation, preferably within one day after your session (and no later than 1 week after your session).

5. After submitting the documentation, you should receive your Mentor's version in a few days. Please check with your Mentor if you do not receive his/her form within 1 week.

6. Compare your mentor's answers to your own; feel free to discuss further with your Mentor.

If you need help, just email us at info@advanced-trainings.com.
